ECCU Blog

by Jac La Tour

If you’re an ECCU member and are free Wednesday morning, August 28, you might want to set an appointment in your calendar for 8:30 to 9:20 a.m. That’s when ECCU staff gather for our weekly staff meeting , and we’ll be hearing from a very special guest speaker that day.

U.S. Representative Ed Royce (R), chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, is coming to speak about the committee’s efforts to end human trafficking.

Royce is uniquely positioned to address this topic that resonates deeply with many ECCU member ministries. He has served on the Foreign Affairs Committee since being elected to Congress in 1992 to represent Southern California’s 39th District. Named chairman in January 2013, he recently sponsored the Vietnam Human Rights Act of 2013 (H.R. 1897).

You do not need to register to attend, but attendance is limited to ECCU members and staff. For more information, please check out our news release.
